Eagles: Sheppard out
The News
Eagles Pro Bowl cornerback Lito Sheppard will miss Saturday's Divisional playoff game against the Saints due to a dislocated right elbow, head coach Andy Reid told the team's official web site on Monday. Rod Hood will start in his place.
Our View
Hood started six games at the end of the 2005 season and has been the nickel back for the past few seasons. So, he won't be overwhelmed by the promotion, but the Saints passing game will certainly benefit by not having to face Sheppard.
